Adenkrebi CHPS Clinic, Ga East Municipality
The Community's Healthcare Challenge
Before the construction of the CHPS compound, residents of Adenkrebi had limited access to primary healthcare services, often travelling considerable distances to receive treatment. This particularly affected pregnant women, children and vulnerable members of the community.
Why We Intervened
Our mission is to reduce the burden of malaria while improving access to quality healthcare. By investing in community health infrastructure, we help ensure that underserved communities receive essential healthcare closer to home.
What We Built
The Foundation constructed a modern Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound through privately raised funds. The facility was officially commissioned and handed over on 15 November 2017 by our Founder and Chairperson, H.E. Mrs Rebecca Naa Okaikor Akufo-Addo.
The Impact on the Community
The CHPS compound has strengthened healthcare delivery within Adenkrebi by providing timely medical care, reducing preventable illnesses and improving access to maternal and child health services.
Services The Facility Provides
The facility delivers:
Primary healthcare services
Malaria prevention, diagnosis and treatment
Maternal and child healthcare
Family planning services
Immunization clinics
Preventive healthcare programmes
Community health education
Voices from the Community
Receiving the facility on behalf of the community, Nana Ankoma I, Chief of Adenkrebi, expressed appreciation to the Foundation, describing the project as a long-awaited investment that would improve the wellbeing of residents for generations.
Our Continued Commitment
The Adenkrebi project reflects our belief that healthcare infrastructure is an investment in healthier, stronger communities. We continue to support initiatives that improve access to healthcare and advance malaria prevention across Ghana.
